- NES Fircroft is seeking an Electrical Generator Technician in Great Yarmouth to support and service products for their Portable Power business in Europe.
- Candidates should have experience in electrical servicing of diesel-driven generators and ancillary equipment, with a focus on installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- This is initially a 3-month contract with a high potential for transitioning to a permanent position based on suitability.
- The role is workshop-based but requires travel to offshore/onshore sites, necessitating offshore certifications and UK work rights.
- The position offers a competitive hourly rate plus a daily offshore rate, and local candidates with a valid UK passport will be prioritized.
This is initally a 3 month contract however there is a high chance of this role transitioning into a permanent position if the candidate is suitable. This role will be workshop based in Great Yarmouth however you will be required totravel to offshore/onshore sites at short notice when required therefore offshore certifications and UK right of work is essential for this role.
Rate of Pay:
Competitve Hourly Rate + Daily Offshore Rate
Responsibilities:
-Scheduled maintenance, Repairs, Enhancements/Refurbishment, Instrument checks
-P&ID walk downs
-Electrical completion checks
-Factory acceptance tests
-Function/loop checks
-Liaise with Workshop Supervisor, Project teams, Management, Clients and Vendors relating to their operational activities
-Prepare, review and fulfil work orders required for these operational activities
-Under management direction, provide after sales services including inspections, spares, advice/recommendations, liaising with engineering departments as necessary
-Participate in out of hours on-call rota, providing industry leading service support
Experience:
-Electrical knowledge within installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance environments include offshore (essential)
-Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline (essential)
-Interpretation and marking up of engineering drawings (essential)
-Diesel driven generators (desirable)
-Gas driven generators (desirable)
As this role is based in Great Yarmouth, you will only be considered if you live locally and have a valid UK passport.
