My client is seeking a Geotechnical Reporting Manager to join their dynamic Geoconsultancy team based in Great Yarmouth. This role forms a key part of the management team and focuses on delivering high-quality geotechnical data and reports, ensuring alignment with evolving industry standards and acquisition techniques. You'll also be instrumental in developing innovative data presentation formats tailored to client needs, while leading and mentoring a team of project engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management for a team of geotechnical project engineers and annual graduate intakes, including performance reviews, coaching, and absence management.
  • Ensure technical oversight and quality assurance of geotechnical data in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate the timely delivery of comprehensive Geotechnical Reports.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the offshore site investigation lifecycle, from tendering through to final deliverables, including comprehensive lab testing programs with advanced techniques.
  • Drive the development of methodologies, calculations, and deliverables that meet current industry expectations and specific client requirements.
  • Contribute technical insights to tenders under the guidance of the Head of Geoconsultancy.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and a positive workplace culture.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of a BSc (or equivalent) in Earth Sciences, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in offshore geotechnical data acquisition.
  • Proficiency in the quality control, processing, and interpretation of CPT data and seabed samples.
  • Proven track record in producing detailed geotechnical reports.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical methodologies and the ability to maintain industry-aligned processing and reporting procedures.
  • Previous experience in mentoring and developing geotechnical engineers.
  • Prior management experience is advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (must hold a valid passport and driving licence).
