Our client is a well-established house builder based in Norfolk, seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a high-end residential development. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced Senior Site Manager, gaining valuable hands-on experience and career development within a reputable company.
The Assistant Site Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of the project, assisting in the day-to-day management of site operations to meet safety, quality, and timeline objectives. You will work closely with the Senior Site Manager to ensure the site runs smoothly, maintaining high standards and compliance with all health and safety regulations. In the absence of the Senior Site Manager, you will be expected to take charge of site activities and lead the team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
路Assist in the management of the construction site, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
路Oversee sub-contractors and site staff, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
路Support the Senior Site Manager in delivering projects on time and within budget.
路Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.
路Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations.
路Coordinate materials, logistics, and labour to meet project milestones.
路Assist in resolving site issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
路Maintain accurate site records, reports, and schedules.
路Promote and uphold strong relationships with customers, sub-contractors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
路CSCS Card (Valid and up to date).
路SMSTS Certificate (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
路Proven experience working on new build residential projects.
路Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in construction.
路Excellent communication and leadership skills.
路Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
