P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking Stores Material Handlerto join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete the accurate & timely receipt of goods & materials from suppliers using company procedures & systems.
  • Carry out basic visual checks of received goods to ensure that they match to purchase orders and supporting drawings and specifications and are of a suitable quality, asking for support from Engineering when needed.
  • Inform Supply Chain Manager immediately of any inaccurate or unacceptable deliveries.
  • Ensure that stock is kept in the correct locations and suitable condition, whilst undertaking regular stock counting.
  • Pick, issue & allocate parts, materials and consumables to employees, jobs and projects as required, while maintaining accurate records of stock movements within the business.
  • Accurately handle manifest & delivery advice notes to aid stock transactions/movements between company locations.
  • Support Supply Chain Manager in the identification, ordering & replenishment of parts & materials.
  • Communicate any stores issues to the Supply Chain Manager &/or Production Manager as appropriate.
  • Ensure that stores are kept clean, tidy, organised & access to stores area by other members of staff controlled at all times.
  • Loading & unloading deliveries (with & without forklift truck) and correctly & accurately accounting for items.
  • Drive company vehicles to make deliveries/collections to & from other parts of the Group, suppliers & customers, ensuring that chosen routes are the most fuel & time efficient.
  • Running company related errands as required.
  • Ensure that companywide policies & procedures are adhered to wherever and whenever appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Forklift Licence (desirable).
  • Must hold full UK driving licence.

  • Remain flexible within your work environment with regard to working in other areas of the business that fit within your skill sets & as requested by your line Manager.
