Are you looking to take your career to the next level? Our client is looking for a mid-senior level Mechanical Design Engineer to join the company on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role offering part WFH and part office based.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a key player in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. You’ll have the chance to lead exciting projects, from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet both industry standards and client specifications.

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of the design aspects of projects, from initial handover to successful completion.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Managers to create high-quality CAD drawings that meet project needs.
  • Develop detailed design specifications, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Produce comprehensive design deliverables, integrating input from various disciplines.
  • Conduct thorough checking and approval processes to ensure the highest quality.
  • Prepare and manage procurement Bills of Materials (BoM) for purchasing.
  • Manage project changes and provide timely feedback on programme progress.
  • On occasion, take the lead on specific projects, managing the design process from start to finish.
  • Adhere to company quality assurance procedures to maintain consistency and excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • A track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to work swiftly without compromising on quality.
