Production Technician (Subsea Equipment)

Are you from an electronics or electrical engineering background looking for an outstanding opportunity with a company who specialise in offshore surveying who put staff development as their first priority?

This company is a leading global provider of specialist subsea equipment to sectors including offshore renewables, marine science, Oil and gas. Having operated for over 20 years, the company is expanding creating an opportunity for ambitious and innovative people.

In this role you will be responsible for preparing and testing equipment that is being delivered to clients or returning from hire, ensuring all safety and business standards are being met. You will be completing repair tasks, general warehouse and delivery operations and providing technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of complex electrical wiring and following electronics schematic diagrams
  • Assembly of systems, sub-components and panel wiring to competent level
  • Utilising oscilloscopes and similar electronics test equipment
  • Assembly and inspection of underwater pressure vessel seals and connectors
  • Testing, fault finding and repairing complex printed circuit boards to component level

The person:

  • Previous experience in a similar role essential
  • Qualified in relevant engineering discipline with an understanding of complex electrical wiring and electronics schematic diagrams
