Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide high-quality support and care to individuals with diverse needs in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment, fostering a calm and respectful atmosphere.
- Encourage and support residents’ participation in a range of activities.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records in line with organisational policies.
- Monitor residents’ well-being and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a residential support or care role is highly desirable.
- Passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs and promoting independence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with the ability to also work independently.
- Flexibility to work sleep-in shifts and occasional night shifts.
- Positive attitude, resilience, and adaptability.
- Knowledge of relevant care regulations and best practices.
