- Undertaking a range of works relating to your primary trade
- Undertaking other trades duties in addition to your primary trade, this can include basic plumbing, basic carpentry, wall tiling, basic plumbing, small patch plastering, minor decorations.
- Liaising with the scheduling team on the completion of the work including, where appropriate, the planning of work to ensure the most effective use of time and resources
- To undertake other duties within your skills and experience.
- To adhere to and comply with all relevant and appropriate policies and procedures
- If required, undertake "call-outs" outside normal working hours in line with the out of hour’s rota.
- Carry out dynamic risk assessments where appropriate risk assessments do not exist.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to the level and character of the post, to include, if the need arises, cover for other work colleagues in areas such as (but not exhaustive to) non-housing.
- To undertake pre and post inspections and diagnostic visits to homes
- Ensure the customer receives an effective courteous service.
- Carry out other duties appropriate to the level and character of the post
- City & Guilds trade Qualifications or Equivalent recognised apprenticeship/training.
- Knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
- A full driving licence
- The ability to communicate with members of the public, clients and the workforce effectively and courteously.
- Ability to undertake minor repairs in other trades (excluding the primary trade)
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Ability and willingness to promote and encourage a ‘can do attitude’
- Be available to work on the out of hours emergency call out rota
