Electricians  - Hartlepool - £39,000 per annum (plus benefits)

VGC Group Ltd are currently recruiting Electricians for one of the UK’s largest steel pipe manufacturing facilities based in Hartlepool.

Specialising in heavy-duty steel pipes, the business cater to the energy and construction industries in both domestic and international markets, looking for experienced Electricians to join the team as they continue to pursue their long-term strategy of supporting the UK's Energy Transition infrastructure.

Electricians – Responsibilities

  • Performing all tasks safely, adhering to statutory safety regulations, procedures, and company policies.
  • Carrying out planned maintenance tasks effectively, prioritizing schedules to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Responding to plant breakdowns and machinery adjustments to minimize downtime.

Electricians – Requirements

  • A completed Electrical Apprenticeship.
  • Experience working in a multi-skilled, heavy engineering manufacturing environment
  • Industrial and domestic wiring
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
  • Overhead cranes and associated safety systems
  • PLC systems (primarily Allen Bradley and Siemens)
  • Expertise in AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems in various configurations.
  • Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices
  • A systematic approach to problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with computer-based maintenance software
  • Working effectively within a team environment
