Business Development Manager

Package: Circa £60k + Bonus + Benefits Package
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager on behalf of our 3PL client. You will play a pivotal role in acquiring new clients and providing tailored solutions to drive their business growth on leading online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Wayfair, and OnBuy.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive team while engaging with established brands and clients. Our client is an ambitious third party logistics business, that offers eCommerce fulfilment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently qualify multiple inbound leads from our website, identifying key prospects for engagement via email and phone.
- Proactively identify and reach out to potential clients through LinkedIn and other sources, conducting cold calls to generate new business opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects, ensuring a structured sales approach from initial engagement to deal closure.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system, tracking interactions, progress, proposals, and contracts.
- Ensure accurate and efficient CRM data management to optimise sales operations and reporting.
- Oversee key administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
- Reviewing and finalising proposals before client submission.
- Drafting and verifying contracts.
- Preparing and managing partner agency agreements.
- Taking detailed notes during internal and client meetings.
- Coordinating client feedback calls to enhance service delivery.

Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the UK e-commerce landscape, including platform operations, customer behaviours, and emerging trends.
- 1-2 years of experience in selling marketplace services such as Amazon, eBay, and Wayfair.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
- At least 1 year of hands-on e-commerce experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with prospects and internal teams.
- Highly organised and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple tasks with varying levels of urgency and priority.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
- Eager and quick to learn new systems and sales processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Passion for e-commerce, with a particular interest in Amazon, eBay, and online selling strategies.
- Strong analytical skills to track performance, interpret data trends, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Leadership potential with the ability to mentor and support SDRs (Sales Development Representatives).
- Adaptability to evolving market conditions and customer needs.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
