Senior Electronics Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret system requirements, decompose them into hardware specifications, and ensure clear flow-down.
- Develop and review electronics and firmware designs, covering system, subsystem, and individual board levels.
- Deliver technical solutions aligned with customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Oversee technical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support team planning and estimation during project kick-offs.
- Serve as Project Engineering Lead (PEL) or Work Package Manager (WPM) for one or more projects.
- Address and resolve qualification, certification, and safety challenges.
- Create and maintain technical project documentation, such as management plans, design specifications, and test procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and growth.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to achieve project goals.
- Lead initial test phases, integration efforts, and formal acceptance testing.
Role Requirements
- Extensive lifecycle experience in electronics/firmware engineering, from bids to in-service support, preferably in the defense sector.
- Proven expertise in designing complex, multi-disciplinary systems and resolving associated challenges.
- Successful track record of delivering reliable solutions on time and budget under fixed-price contracts.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working with project managers, systems, mechanical, and software engineers.
- Degree (or equivalent) in engineering discipline.
- Broad technical exposure, including:
- Analogue and digital electronics.
- EMC, electrical safety, and signal integrity design.
- Prototyping, testing, and verification at various levels.
- Component selection with attention to obsolescence and environmental regulations (REACH, RoHS).
- Familiarity with PMRP, ECAD tools, and standard office/engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, ERPs, configuration management).
