Finance Manager required for a Primary School in Greenford

Engage Education Services has specialised in recruiting education staff in all roles for over a decade. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Finance Manager to work at a fantastic primary school in Greenford.

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality finance staff to work with these schools.

About the role:

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8-4, 35 hours a week, 52 weeks (they might consider a later start/finish)

Purpose:

The main purpose of the job is to assist the Director of Finance with the management and control of the Academy’s financial and other resources and with the planning, allocating and using financial resources in a manner which satisfies the requirements of accountability, good governance, value for money and financial control. The Finance Manager has responsibility for line management of the Resources Administrator.

You are required to maintain confidentiality of information acquired in the course of undertaking duties for the department and be honest and trustworthy in all your dealings in connection with the job.

Skills & Experience needed:

  • GCSE Grade B or above in Mathematics (or equivalent), A levels (or equivalent) and be at least part qualified ACCA or CIMA (candidates who do not hold such qualifications but have significant experience will be considered)
  • Experience in a finance setting, and skilled in analysing numerical data along with an accurate and methodical approach to work
  • Excellent ICT & communication skills are a must, as well as being a proactive self-starter with strong organisational and admin skills.
  • High standards of customer service, flexibility and trustworthiness
  • Experience of a finance setting in an educational environment is desirable, as is payroll experience.
  • Exposure to iTrent for payroll would be very advantageous.
