What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Tea Sample & Tasting Counter Preparation

Ù Making tea systematically and in big volumes throughout the day to a required schedule, using the samples sent in for the Tasters, Blenders and Buyers

Ù Preparing equipment for tea making

Ù Sorting, labelling and putting tea samples into tins

Ù Accurately selecting & weighing out the required teas to be tasted.

Ù Lifting 7kgs kettles of hot water and pouring the water into approx. 40 tea cups in one session

Ù Accurately timing brew time and following counter preparation instructions.

Ù Clearing finished tea counters and loading & unloading of crockery to be put through an industrial dishwasher.

Ù Accurately following a recipe sheet to prepare experimental blends, recording and keeping an accurate log of the blend details

Ù Ensuring that health and safety standards are always adhered to - some of the equipment is relatively heavy and needs frequent lifting or is hot/awkward to lift and requires careful and good physical coordination.

Computer Literacy

Ù Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly for Teams voice calls and instant messaging and working with an outlook diary. Holiday booking via an internal system (training given)

Ù Managing systems data entry in support of departmental tasting, buying & blending processes
