Create design data including:
3D CAD modelling using SolidWorks.
2D critical dimension drawings including relevant use of GD&T
Early-stage static simulation (Finite Element Analysis) where appropriate to support design decisions.
2D and 3D prototyping (using internal and external resources)
Agree the mechanical, aesthetic, and ergonomic approach with the wider design team
Liaise with Structural and Reliability Engineers to ensure detailed validation of the FEA is in-line with the relevant standards

Senior Design Engineer - Key Skills

Minimum 5 years experience within a design engineering role
Extensive experience working with aluminium
Possesses a high level of CAD ideally with SolidWorks
An understanding of, and ability to, calculate static and fatigue strength requirements of your designs.
