Our client, a prominent player in it's sector, is seeking an Indirect Buyer to join their dynamic team. This permanent role focuses on supporting the Indirect Procurement Manager in centralising and controlling indirect spend as the company continues to grow. If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy analysing data, and are driven by achieving cost-efficiency while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Targeting cost-saving and consolidation opportunities in indirect categories without compromising quality and service.
  • Analysing current spends to identify cost-saving opportunities in line with business KPIs.
  • Developing a reliable and sustainable supply chain for alternatively sourced parts and services.
  • Implementing contracts and long-term agreements for newly sourced parts and services.
  • Managing bids and tenders for all contracting work.
  • Reducing burdens related to trading terms, import duties, and taxes where applicable.
  • Maintaining records of goods ordered and received, resolving any issues promptly.
  • Introducing KPIs throughout indirect categories and attending necessary internal meetings.
  • Adhering to organisational processes and procedures and working on other projects as needed.
  • Completing any other tasks as deemed necessary.
Job Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills at different organisational levels.
  • Ability to build key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Motivated, positive attitude with robust problem-solving abilities.
  • Punctual, methodical, adaptable, and reliable.
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with suppliers in a hands-on procurement role.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/APS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • CIPS certification is desirable but not essential.
