We are now looking for a Night Shift HGV Technician to work on a permanent basis with our busy and friendly client based in Greenford, Greater London. 

This is a hands-on position that requires technical knowledge and problem solving skills.

The bit about the shift pattern: 

- Night Shift = Tuesday to Friday 08.30pm to 07.00am

The bit about the pay and perks:

- £20 per hour + Overtime always available at 1.5

- Company pension

- 22 days holiday + Bank holidays

The bit about the duties:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles

- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues

- Order parts and materials as needed for repairs

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

The bit about the required skills:

- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles

- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment

- Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions and brakes

- Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

- Initiative to work autonomously if required.

The bit about experience/qualifications:

- City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 OR qualified by experience
