Our client, a dynamic and growing organisation based in Dartford, is seeking a proactive and dedicated HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. If you have a passion for people and a flair for strategic HR management, with a hands-on' and 'open door' approach - we want to hear from you!

  • Location: Dartford
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Monday-Friday 0830 to 1700 or 0900 to 1730 with an hour for lunch. Some flexibility to occasionally work from home following initial training.
  • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, DOE plus company related bonus.
  • Benefits: 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays (rising holiday days with length of service 25days for 2 years service, 27 after 5 years and 30 after 10 years), Company Private Healthcare (following probation), Death in Service, Long term Sickness, Staff and Company social events. Free parking available close to office.

What You'll Do:

As the stand alone HR Manager, you'll be at the heart of our client's operations, championing their people strategy and ensuring that the workplace remains a thriving hub of creativity and collaboration.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Lead and support HR projects to foster better working practices, improve employee engagement, well being, inclusion and service delivery to clients.
  • Overseeing recruitment, on-boarding and employee development - Job posting, screening CVs, conducing interviews with departmental managers, assisting with contracts and hiring decisions.
  • Administer and review employee benefits programs including health insurance, bonus schemes and other employee perks.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflicts, grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Managing employee relations and ensuring a positive workplace culture.
  • Conducting training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Developing and implement performance management systems to monitor employee skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain compliance with employment regulations and keep abreast of employment laws.
  • Collaborate and work with senior management team, attend meetings and provide guidance and support on organisational development initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in the Building & Construction sector, ability to work as a 'standalone' HR Manager.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of HR practises and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
