The role:
Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our exciting rapidly growing Restaurant and Bars client for their new, well positioned venue in this fantastic all year-round location in recruiting for an ambitious Senior Sous Chef to lead and join their exciting Kitchen operations. You will be helping to head up pre-opening of the new site with implementation of menus, coaching and mentoring teams, in this fast-growing successful award-winning business in tandem with the new Head Chef.

Our passionate, ambitious client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a real leader in the kitchen, someone who will harness the talent of the brigades, utilise the fantastic kitchen facilities to their advantage, to provide memorable popular food experiences for its customers, and put this seaside location on the map in the West Coast of Scotland, as a noted place to dine.
The ideal Senior Sous Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard. It is also desired to have had experience of volume restaurants in the high street space. You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting with other senior department heads, and regional area management regularly.
Our client requires an ideal Senior Sous Chef, that is keen to train, coach and mentor their teams, evolve the food services, deliver consistent menus and food concepts, and further the reputation of the business as an Employer of choice in the UK, and local area.
As the Senior Sous Chef, you must be proven to be flexible, and highly adaptive in all your approaches to your team, and also with delivery of concepts developed with the company Chef Director, Regional Head Chefs, and onsite chef leadership team.
As the Senior Sous Chef, you must also be someone that not only has strong all-round culinary abilities, great presentation skills, possess food innovation skills, but someone that also is an effective manager of the kitchen environment, of health and safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, training, and mentoring of others, and possess strong cost & budgetary control skill sets of your area.
