The Role: As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, the successful candidate will collaborate with maintenance technicians and external contractors to monitor and maintain on-site equipment. Responsibilities will include:
- Preventative Maintenance: Ensuring continuous operation by adhering to the preventative maintenance schedule and addressing machinery breakdowns.
- Maintenance Schedules: Creating and implementing maintenance and servicing schedules.
- Problem Solving: Applying engineering expertise to solve problems as they arise.
- Equipment Installation: Overseeing the installation of new equipment.
- Facility Maintenance: Managing the maintenance work on buildings and facilities.
Accountabilities:
- Working continually in line with the preventative maintenance schedule and addressing machinery breakdowns.
- Creating and undertaking maintenance and servicing schedules.
- Solving engineering problems as required.
- Overseeing the installation of new equipment.
- Managing required maintenance work on buildings and facilities.
The Candidate: The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree, diploma, or similar qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical.
- Significant experience in a similar role within a similar industry.
- A diverse skill set to maintain a broad scope of machinery.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A can-do attitude and hands-on approach, coupled with a desire to succeed.
