MRD Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Maintenance Technician, based in Greenock on behalf of our leading Marine Engineering client. The successful Maintenance Technician, based in Greenock will report directly into the Operations Manager.

The successful Maintenance Technician, based in Greenock, will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance, monitoring systems and equipment. This role will operate on a rotating shift pattern.

Key Skills/Knowledge for the Maintenance Technician based in Greenock:

  • Mechanical biased background.
  • Carrying out repairs, maintenance, monitoring systems and equipment.
  • Working as part of a team in an engineering environment (e.g. installation, maintenance, repair)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety systems
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving methodology to identify, correct and prevent system / equipment faults.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and actively participate in cross-functional team activities

Key Education/Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician based in Greenock:

  • Have successfully completed a recognised technical apprenticeship.
  • Suitable qualifications include ONC/HNC or City & Guilds.
  • Have proven communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable using MS Office software packages (mainly Excel).
