MRD Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Multi-Skilled Technician, based in Greenock on behalf of our leading Manufacturing client. The successful Multi-Skilled Technician, based in Greenock will report directly into the Operations Manager.
The successful Multi-Skilled Technician, based in Greenock, will be responsible for maintaining and operating liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment. This role will operate on a dayshift pattern, Monday - Friday.
Key Skills/Knowledge for the Multi-Skilled Technician based in Greenock:
- Able to demonstrate good problem-solving methodology to correct and prevent equipment faults
- Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs effectively.
- Perform minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas and chemical related equipment. Perform daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs.
- Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc
- Maintain and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
- Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure.
- Monitor and understand correct liquid bulk delivery procedures for each product on site. Perform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers.
- Performs minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures
Key Education/Qualifications for the Multi-Skilled Technician based in Greenock:
- Ideally applicants will be time served with a minimum HNC in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Relevant training will be provided.
