Are you the kind of person our client is looking for?

  • Do you have a strong generalist HR skillset, with exposure across all key HR functions including Organisational Design, Development, Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment, Learning and Development, and Talent Management?
  • Can you offer an independent, objective perspective to support modernisation efforts and align processes with regional and global initiatives?
  • Have you worked in a global organisation, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment, collaborating with senior stakeholders?
  • Do you have experience working on global HR projects, leading change, and implementing new HR systems?

What you can expect from the day-to-day:

  • Support the local and global HR teams by leading initiatives related to Organisational Design and Development.
  • Partner with senior management on recruitment and selection efforts, ensuring the right talent is onboarded to support future growth.
  • Lead Compensation and Benefits projects, working closely with regional and global teams to drive consistency and alignment.
  • Champion Learning and Development programs, guiding the development of employees and creating talent pipelines through initiatives such as apprenticeships and graduate programs.
  • Engage in Employee Relations activities, managing complex cases and ensuring best practices in line with UK employment legislation.
  • Play a key role in driving cultural transformation, aligning the Greenock site with wider global HR strategies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent role in a global organisation.
  • Strong background in modernising HR processes and aligning them with organisational objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of coaching and advising managers to build high-performing teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field and/or CIPD qualification.
