- Schedule: Monday to FridayÂ
- Start Date: 6th January 2025
- End Date: 3-6 months after contract start
- Rate of pay: £31-35 p/h
A Day in the Life of a Social Worker:
As a Band 6 Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting adults with varying complexities, including neurological conditions and other traumas, within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Your responsibilities will include:.
- Providing support and intervention for safeguarding concerns and crisis situations.
- Using evidence-based practice and specialist skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, community teams, and external agencies to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with professional and organizational standards.
- Taking a lead role in organizing and addressing the health, social, and emotional needs of patients with neurological and other complex conditions.
- Keeping current with legislative changes, social care practices, and best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Current and valid registration with Social Work England.

Professional Social work Qualification, Min BA Hons. Social Work
- Proven experience in working with individuals affected by complex trauma, neurological conditions, or mental health challenges.
- Strong communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Dedication to providing compassionate, person-centered care.

Must have experience of social work assessment and care management. Experience of working under current Scottish adult legislation such as Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 and Adults With Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000. Experience of facilitating discharge of Older Adults from hospital settings to return home or Community Care settings. Â

Working hours and contract duration:
This position will require you to work from Monday to Friday, but hours can be flexible. The contract is for 6 monthsÂ
