Job Description
Reed Education are currently supporting a North East Lincolnshire based primary school to appoint a Finance Officer to join their team as soon as possible on a part-time, permanent basis. The school is a small, one-form entry academy, educating children from the ages of 3 to 11 from the local area.
As the Finance Officer, you will support the Head of Academy through the provision of financial support and information. You will ensure the academy’s financial management is sound and procedures are adhered to with relevant reports submitted to the central finance department in accordance with deadlines.
Although this role is advertised as Finance Officer, it would suit a Senior Admin/Office Manager as you will also be needed to support with HR, admin, and recruitment at times. You will need to have Level 2 AAT or be willing to complete it, funded by the school.
Experience and Qualifications
- AAT qualified, or working towards
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Finance
- GCSE Grade A*-C or equivalent in both English and Maths
- Experience of using accounts and budgetary software
- Experience of using Excel/Word
- Experience working in a busy finance department
- Experience of cash handling
- Ability to form and maintain appropriate and effective relationships with others
