LAB. are supporting an established Accountancy Practice who through growth are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join their thriving, social team.

Full job description

We are now seeking a person with at least 3 years' experience in a similar sized accountancy practice.

The ideal candidate will be AAT or ACCA qualified, or well on the way towards qualifying, with a proven track record in accounts and a robust knowledge of all popular accounting packages, in particular QuickBooks Online, Xero and Sage.

Experience working in a busy accountancy practice is imperative.

The role includes:

  • Accounts preparation and tax return completion for sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies.
  • Bookkeeping for our clients using either digital software or excel
  • Full reconciliations each quarter or month on the bank accounts, aged debtors, creditors, PAYE accounts and wages accounts
  • Calculating and submitting VAT returns
  • CIS returns
  • Resolving queries directly with clients

Desirable skills include:

  • Advanced VAT knowledge
  • Experience in accounts preparation
  • Experience in completing self assessment tax returns
