Role: Building SurveyorLocation: GrimsbySalary: £40,000 + packageAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join the professional services team of a leading construction design consultancy at their office in Grimsby.The Building Surveyor will be working closely with a local authority client covering a mixture of projects in the region. As part of their Professional Services team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of civil and building design and procurement related services including new build, refurbishment, remodelling and listed building works. You'll be using 2D and 3D modelling to produce design solutions for every phase of a project and working in a collaborative environment.Some of the Building Surveyors key duties will include:

  • Developing specifications, designs and technical support to a wide of projects
  • Provide support, advice and guidance to the project teams
  • Develop briefs, specs., scopes of work and other technical information to contribute to the delivery of a project.
  • Oversee the delivery of minor works and property construction projects
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with the required compliance
  • Assist with the direction and monitoring of construction works to include contract administration, variations, project costs and final accounts

Building Surveyors considering this opportunity will need:

  • Previous experience as a building surveyor working on projects within the public sector
  • Strong technical skills
  • Able to review contract documents and interpret project drawings
  • Excellent communication skills
