Job Description: We are looking to recruit a committed and driven individual on a temporary work basis as a Work Based Trainer. This role supports apprentices undertaking the Metal Fabrication standard in the apprenticeship programme.The initial period of employment is until 31/12/2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach, train, and assess apprentices in Metal Fabrication.
- Act as the front-facing link between Reed Further Education and employers.
- Progress apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours within the context of their employment.
- Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment (EPA).
- Ensure continuous quality improvement by managing appropriate caseloads with trained team members.
- Provide outstanding service to all apprentices and employers across all aspects of the apprenticeship.
Qualifications Required:
- Appropriate level 3 qualification in Welding or Metal Fabrication.
- TAQA or equivalent training and assessment qualification.
- ASME IX and PTLLS preferred.
- Industrial and apprenticeship experience in supporting apprentices to EPA is essential.
Additional Information:
- This is a learner-facing role, despite being on a support contract.
- Up to 3 days a week.
