Job Description: We are looking to recruit a committed and driven individual on a temporary work basis as a Work Based Trainer. This role supports apprentices undertaking the Metal Fabrication standard in the apprenticeship programme.The initial period of employment is until 31/12/2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach, train, and assess apprentices in Metal Fabrication.
  • Act as the front-facing link between Reed Further Education and employers.
  • Progress apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours within the context of their employment.
  • Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement by managing appropriate caseloads with trained team members.
  • Provide outstanding service to all apprentices and employers across all aspects of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required:

  • Appropriate level 3 qualification in Welding or Metal Fabrication.
  • TAQA or equivalent training and assessment qualification.
  • ASME IX and PTLLS preferred.
  • Industrial and apprenticeship experience in supporting apprentices to EPA is essential.

Additional Information:

  • This is a learner-facing role, despite being on a support contract.
  • Up to 3 days a week.
