Electrical Operations Manager

We are currently looking for a dedicated Electrical Operations Manager to join an Electrical Team and play a vital role in our continued success.

The Electrical Operations Manager will work with Senior Management and all Operational Teams to ensure that the Electrical department services the needs of the business and all external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Electrical Workshop, including Controls and Automation personnel to ensure production targets are met, whilst maintaining quality.
  • Assist in establishing new contacts and sales
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control of test certificates
  • Manage the skills matrix and planning of cross training within the department
  • Lead by example, demonstrating motivational, engaging and best practice leadership through out the department
  • Support HR processes such as conducting appraisals, absence management and recruitment and selection
  • Ensuring a healthy, safe, and legal department; continually reviewing practices to ensure legislative, health & safety and legal compliance. This will include compliance with NICIEC

Requirements:

  • Time served tradesman - preferred
  • Excellent Communication and negotiation skills
  • Electrical Engineering knowledge
  • IT proficient
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time well.
  • Effective & engaging leadership with the ability to keep staff motivated
  • Problem Solver
  • Financial and Commercial awareness
  • Management/Leadership qualification would be advantageous
