We are currently recruiting for a Stoneman for one of our clients based in Grimsby - This clients one the leaders in Fish Production and Manufacturing.
This role is based on a 13 week Temp2Perm - After completing 13 weeks you will get a contract with the client.
Working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 6am-2pm - with a 20min break
Hourly rate for this role is £12.30 with overtime paid after 40 hours.
This role will require you to work in the Cold store so you must be comfortable in doing this.
Your Time at Work
Your time at work will include the following duties;
- To maintain the cold- and packaging stores in an orderly, safe and clean state at all times
- To record on IT Systems all intakes and transfers of fish ingredients and packaging as required
- To check and label all raw material pallets on intake in accordance with the requirements of the Quality Management System
- To deliver fish and packaging to the line in a timely fashion to ensure no interruptions to production
- To load and secure vehicles and record despatches on the IT Systems.
- To ensure finished product stacking patterns are correct and that the goods conform to the requirements of the customer's depot.
- To stock check packaging as required and record the results on the IT Systems.
- To ensure full compliance with Company safety rules including not operating any machinery until signed off to the relevant Safe System of Work (S.S.W.)
- To contribute to ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- To understand and apply the company procedures in order to allow production of food to the highest standards and to guarantee customer satisfaction and safety.
- To check trucks daily for defects or damage and to record and report them immediately.
- To ensure the safety and hygiene standards of others operating within your area.
- To assist with accident prevention.
- To communicate any ideas for improvements in safety, hygiene, quality, quantity and cost.
- To ensure adherence to HACCP process
- To carry out ad hoc projects / investigations when required
Our Perfect Worker
We are looking for someone who has experience in this environment and in the same role, however full training will be given.
We are after someone who can work well in their own and is used of working in a fast paced environment.
