What is the role of a Fork Lift Driver?

Working as a FLT driver across the Humber Ports within a team, Ports are a 24 hour operation so flexibility is essential.

  • Quayside duties as required which may include Slinger Banksman
  • Completing daily machinery checks
  • Working as part of a team to ensure safety within all operations

What experience do you need to be a FLT Driver?

To be a successful FLT driver you must have a good understanding of Health and Safety as well as a Full UK Driving licence.

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience operating a FLT preferred
  • Previous experience as a Port Operative is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Keen to learn new skills
  • Experience within a Port environment is highly desirable however other industries will be considered such as Construction, Demolition and Agriculture
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable although full training will given.
