Join Our Client's Team as an Export Administrator!

Position: Export Administrator
Location: Stallingborough
Salary: Up to £28,000 DOE
Shift: Full-Time, including on-call rota

About:

Our client, a prominent shipping and freight forwarding firm, is seeking an Export Administrator to join their dynamic team. They provide a competitive package with excellent advancement and training opportunities. Specialising in direct services to Scandinavia and mainland Europe, our client offers flexible and customised transport and logistics solutions for land, sea, and air.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee export operations and administration
  • Handle customer service inquiries with a confident phone demeanour
  • Issue sales invoices to customers according to agreements and check and pass purchase invoices
  • Take bookings and create them in internal software
  • Liaise with transport planners and shipping lines
  • Manage all aspects of full load export operations, including on-call rota
  • Complete Export Customs Clearances using Descartes/Destin8
  • Complete Export Transit Documentation using Descartes

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong customer focus with the motivation and commitment to provide outstanding service
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Good decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate, prioritise, and plan while responding to quickly changing workloads
  • Systematic, logical approach with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently within a time-critical setting and as part of a team
  • IT literate
  • Willingness to learn other roles within the team to build personal experience
  • Passionate about getting the job done and getting it done right
  • On-call duty required for one week out of every five following training.
  • Handling minimal out-of-hours calls during the week.
  • Managing trailer arrivals and clearances at the quay over the weekend.
