Reed Education are currently exclusively supporting a lovely primary school in Grimsby with their recruitment for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner. The school are ideally looking for someone who can start at the end of October or beginning of November to replace a leaver. You will work 08:30 until 15:30 and there may be occasional training.

The nursery department within the school is above average size and the staff work extremely closely together to plan, educate and inspire the children and so you would be joining a supportive, friendly and passionate team.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress, sharing outcomes with parents and colleagues.

• Maintain a clean and organised setting that meets health and safety standards.

• Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive and supportive environment.

• Attend staff meetings and participate in training and development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent as a minimum.

• Proven experience working in a nursery setting.

• An enhanced DBS check with child barred list (this can be applied for through Reed).

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with children, parents, and staff.

• A commitment to continuous professional development.
