Mechanical Maintenance/ Project Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturing company to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance/ Project Engineer for their site in Grimsby.

Salary: up to £45,000 plus potential bonus

Hours: Days 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Mechanical Maintenance/ Project Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the site, assets and to maximise asset life and availability.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance/ Project Engineer include:

• Carry out scheduled Preventative Maintenance routines inline with documented procedures to reduce potential for unplanned breakdowns of equipment
• Carry out Corrective Maintenance on equipment if it fails, minimising the impact on production where possible
• Have a pro-active approach to all works, planning and preparing for all preventative or corrective tasks
• Carry out or support root cause analysis of unplanned outages / fault diagnosis on equipment and identify and implement actions to prevent a recurrence
• Support development and updating of maintenance procedures and documentation
• Ensure the relevant management systems are kept up to date, through accurate and timely input of data
• Ensure timely and accurate feedback to customers and line management on the status all ongoing tasks
• Support implementation and commissioning of plant improvement projects so that improvements are implemented and handed over in a safe manner.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

We would be keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance/ Project Engineer with the following skills:

• Degree qualified – Mechanical discipline
• Have good fault finding and problem-solving skills with forward thinking continuous improvement approach on machinery
• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of industrial machinery controls
