An opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join a lovely school near Grimsby to work in a Year 6 class on a full-time basis starting in February 2024 on an ongoing basis initially. You will work alongside another two experienced year group partner teachers, and you will share planning with them too.Â
You will be entitled to PPA time which will be held with the other Year 6 teachers. You will also have a part-time TA in your class which you will be expected to deploy effectively within lessons.
You can expect to earn a daily rate of between £130 and £150 for this role initially and then you will be paid to scale after week 12.Â
Responsibilities:
-Planning lessons in English, Maths and foundation subjects based around the National Curriculum for Year 6
-Delivering lessons to a class of children using a range of stimulating and engaging techniques
-Marking work throughout the lesson and giving children feedback to check dependent on the school’s marking policy
-Summative assessment as necessary
-Attending staff meetings, training days and additional CPD
-Differentiating lessons, bridging gaps and challenging high attainers, adapting as necessary
-Deploying any support staff effectively within the class
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Requirements:
-Experience of working as a UKS2 teacher
-QTS or PGCE equivalent (essential)
-Applications from both ECT’s and experienced teachers are welcomed
-Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
-DBS certificate
