Senior Payroll Officer – Grimsby – Up to £23 per hourChase & Holland are proud to be supporting a forward-thinking, well-established manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Grimsby as they seek a Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a minimum 6 month temporary basis.This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated HR team, playing a pivotal role within the function by overseeing the full payroll process for over 300 employees as well as managing the administration processes for the benefits policies and procedures.  Benefits:

Senior Payroll Officer Responsibilities:
  • Managing the full end to end monthly payroll process for all UK employees including start/end of year processes
  • Supporting across data management and reporting within the team
  • Reviewing policy development and payroll management to ensure accurate processing and generation of payroll
  • Actioning the administration of various group benefits
  • Providing an input with regards to the technical aspects of payroll such as selection of software
  • Responsible for complying with all legal requirements
  • Overseeing the process of net pay deductions from computing, withholding and calculating, ensuring accuracy of submission across deductions including pensions, submission taxes etc.
  • Completing RTI reporting to HMRC
  • Entering and maintaining payroll journal entries to the general ledger and reconciliation of payroll
  • Creates analytical reports for corporate and regional management
  • Assisting external auditors by providing supporting documentation and information on internal processes required for audit
Required Skills & Experience:
  • CIPP member accreditation and a CIPP foundation degree in Payroll Management
  • Proven experience within a similar role and solid payroll background
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the monthly end to end payroll process using SAP HRP
  • Understanding of Benefit programmes
