OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Business Development Manager for our client located in Grimsby who are a well established manufacturing business. This is a permanent role and you will be located within the radius of Leeds, Lincoln and York.

Role description

The Business Development Manager will look to further develop sales of the speciality fibre and fabrics product offering of the company.

You will be tasked, to further develop existing markets and identify new with a unique product offering. Working with the Commercial Director you will contribute to strategy development and its execution to generate revenue.

The Business Development Manager will be expected to:

  • Be accountable for the development of new SAFTM and SAFTM fabric customers to deliver the revenue and EBIT in line with the business objectives
  • Constantly monitor sales performance to budget to ensure that the companyis on track to meet growth expectations
  • Continually develop new business opportunities through the identification of new products & services, new markets & new customers in conjunction with the Product Development Team
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial Team
  • Systematically build accurate and timely knowledge about key accounts, market opportunities, competition, and industry trends & feed it back to the management team.

To be successful in your application as Business Development Manager, you will have:

  • Experience of developing both domestic and international markets
  • A background in solution selling; identifying and creating a need for the product ideally involving high performance fibres and fabrics
  • A proven track record in geotextiles, construction waterproofing (BS 8102 & 8485) and advanced wound care, would be advantageous
  • A background in a Technical related discipline
  • Be willing to travel internationally at least 50% of the time; primarily Asia, North America and Europe
  • Located close to/ability to commute to East Yorkshire/North East Lincolnshire.
