Location: Grimsby

Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay: 12 per hour

Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and flexible Business Support Assistant to join our team in Grimsby. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in business administration and procurement, as no previous experience is required - full training will be provided!

Responsibilities:

  • Communications: Collate, create, and distribute materials for our suppliers, utility framework customers, and Capital Framework Contractors.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the procurement team with various tasks, including managing the YORtender e-procurement portal.
  • Project Support: Provide support in the delivery of procurement projects.
  • Supplier Engagement: Facilitate supplier engagement activities.
  • Contract Management: Assist in the delivery of contract terminations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required within this role.

Requirements:

  • GCSE grade C in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and databases.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and open to new ways of working.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of local government procurement processes and relevant legislation would be advantageous.
