Our client is a well-established, training provider based in Grimsby but working across Lincolnshire and East Riding, providing apprenticeship and traineeship programmes. Due to the expansion and forward-thinking direction of the company they are looking to recruit a Functional Skills (Maths and English) Tutor.
The role will initially be covering both Hull and Grimsby sites.
Purpose of the Functional Skills (Maths and English) Tutor:
The purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment support and to engage with learners and employers.
Functional Skills (Maths and English) Tutor Responsibilities:
路 Work closely with learners to increase their skill level
路 Teaching Maths and English
路 Plan and deliver teaching, learning and assessment with learners through various methods, supporting the development and production of teaching and learning materials and resources in both manual and electronic formats
路 Ensure learning programmes meet the required criteria
路 Create and maintain professional working relationships with employers, learners and other key stakeholders
路 Supporting the recruitment of young people and adults to learning programmes
路 Generating new business opportunities within programmes, ensuring learner caseload is maintained
路 Monitor learner attendance and review the learner's progress
路 Create reports for all programmes
路 Set targets with learners and work with them to achieve these
路 Engage employers with learning programmes, ensuring they are involved in progress reviews
路 Actively participate in all quality improvement processes, including observations of teaching, learning and assessment
路 Ensure all learner records are kept up to date and meet internal quality standards
路 Ensure that all correspondence from the organisation is of the required standard and tone
The Perfect Functional Skills (Maths and English) Tutor Will Have the Following Requirements:
路 Be occupationally competent
路 Experience in delivering Maths and English
路 Experience in supporting young people with a diverse range of needs
Qualifications Required for the Functional Skills (Maths and English) Tutor:
路 Must have achieved or be willing to achieve, DTLLS/CertEd or the Level 5 Diploma
路 In addition, where occupational competency qualifications will be delivered within the role, you must hold or be willing to achieve the assessor award (D32/33/A1/CAVA)
