A position has opened up for a Part-Time Kennel & Cattery Assistant, at our busy Charity Rescue Centre.

Hours:

The successful candidate would be required to work 8am - 3pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. The successful candidate would also be required to help with holiday and sickness cover, which will include some Bank Holidays.

Key responsibilities would be:-
     The cleaning of Kennels & Cattery and general housekeeping 
     Feeding and handling of dogs & cats, which would include some dogs who may have behavioural issues
     Confidence with the handling of all types and breeds of dogs and cats
     Good with people as they would need to interact with our volunteers and visitors.

The things to consider when applying for this post would be as follows: -
     You would be working in a mainly outdoor environment in all weather conditions and temperatures, plus it is a physical job
     You must have your own transportation as we are not on a public transport route
     You must be reliable, punctual and be able to work both independently and within a team.
     You must be confident with the handling of all types of dogs including dealing with difficult dogs.
     

Experience working in rescue kennels would be preferred but not essential as training would be provided to a suitable candidate.
