We are currently recruiting for a Methods Engineer to join our client in Formula One. This is an exciting role, and you will act as a bridge between Design and Manufacturing to ensure that overall, the best end to end business process outcomes are achieved.

You will also be responsible for developing and supporting existing and emerging manufacturing / production processes, methodologies, reacting to, program plans, available resources, quality requirements and budgets.

As a Methods Engineer, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Routing definition for Work Orders / Process Flow for all parts produced in a Formula One Car.
  • To embed and support a culture of Designing for Manufacture (DFM) into the engineering
  • design process, allowing Engineering/Design to understand the effect of design choices
  • and the impact on manufacturing, efficiency, and performance.
  • To embed and support routing flow for efficiency, cost, and quality improvements. Being
  • the link between Engineering and Production to ensure part flow is effective. Be the go-to
  • person in Operations.
  • Maintain standard time in routings to allow successful scheduling in Operations.
  • Participate in MPI (Manufacture Process Improvement) and NCR (Non-Conformance
  • Report) closure and preventative actions, driving improvement in upfront quality planning.
  • Own the manufacturing processes, ensuring they are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Benchmark processes and performance against "best in class".
  • Understand future technology trends and work with leadership to develop the overall Future Factory plan.
  • Engage with engineers, technicians, and suppliers to refine specification of future
  • technology and support the development of the equipment and business capability.
  • Providing the template and process for clear manufacturing instructions to suppliers.
  • Supporting suppliers in interpreting and conforming to Williams Specification.
  • Working with Quality team (manufacturing and design) to ensure manufacturing
  • compliance with company quality procedures and developing these as required.

We are looking for a Methods Engineer with the following experience and skills:
