Are you highly organised, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic legal team? My client is seeking a Legal Administrator to join their Guernsey office. With a proud history and offices across global financial hubs, my client is recognised for their client-centric approach and exceptional service.

Role Overview:

In this role, you will work closely with fee earners, providing essential administrative and junior fee-earning support. As part of the central support team, you will assist with tasks ranging from managing data and arranging business development events to preparing legal documents and liaising with the Court. This position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the office and the delivery of high-quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including diary management, email handling, and relaying messages.
  • Manage tasks and projects to enhance team efficiency, particularly in data management.
  • Assist with local Probate work and other fee-earning opportunities.
  • Coordinate client meetings, conference calls, and business development events.
  • Support the smooth running of the office, including reception duties, answering phones, and distributing post.
  • Prepare legal documents, reports, Court bundles, and assist with legal research.
  • Collaborate on billing, WIP lists, and expense claims.
  • Proactively ensure client files are accurately set up and maintained.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ideally a graduate or someone educated to A-level (or equivalent) with strong grades.
  • Previous experience in professional services, preferably in a legal environment.
  • Confident user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of document management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent organisational, multi-tasking, and typing skills.
  • A proactive attitude, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A calm, detail-oriented approach under pressure with a focus on deadlines.

Location:

This role is based in Guernsey. Candidates must currently reside in Guernsey.
