One of our SEN schools in the Channel Islands is looking for an outstanding Additional Learning Needs Teacher to join a dedicated team who are committed to breaking down barriers to learning. This fantastic school caters for children aged 11 to 19, promoting their academic, social, emotional, sensory and physical development through a breadth of learning experiences both in and outside of the classroom.In this exciting and rewarding full-time supply role, you will work with individuals with ASD Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (ASD) Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)  Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and other learning needs. You will have a passion for promoting learning through well-planned and enjoyable lessons that can be adapted to meet their needs.An experienced Additional Learning Needs Teacher, you will hold a specialist SEN post-graduate qualification and a Team Teach qualification or equivalent. You will also have experience of Sign Along or Sign Supported Speech, with a good understanding of synthetic phonics. You must have experience working in an SEN school, with strong behavioural management skills and a patient approach.This ALN Teacher role is available from 2nd December until 13th April 2025. Skills and requirements:

  • QTS
  • The right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • SEN post-graduate qualification and a Team Teach qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching in an SEN school
  • Strong classroom and behavioural management skills
  • Ideally available to start asap.
