Mixed Tax Senior, Guildford, Hybrid working 2 days in-office. Up to £52k

This dynamic multi-disciplinary accountancy and business advisory practice are looking for an excellent Mixed Tax Senior. You will manage tax compliance for a portfolio of clients and provide support to the Partners, Associate and Managers as part of the Firm’s wider tax consultancy service to clients.This practice will allow you to build your career upwards quickly. Whether you’re qualified or not you’ll get the support you need to progress.This job is based in Guildford office but involves working as part of the wider Corporate Tax team across both Guildford and London offices.The main duties and responsibilities for this Mixed Tax Senior are:

Responsibility for the compliance function for a mixed personal tax and corporate tax client portfolio. This includes:

  • Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns for a broad range of clients
  • Monitoring tax return progress to ensure timely completion and submission to HMRC
  • Advising tax clients of tax liabilities due on a timely basis
  • Liaising directly with clients to ensure both accurate and prompt completion of tax returns
  • Tax advisory duties: to attend client meetings, take notes; assist with the tax advice arising by creating documents, spreadsheets and reports for the client. Manage the progress of each advisory project. Prepare the necessary tax returns regarding the results of the project. Drafting the fees.
  • Assistance with regards to Employment taxes, including preparation of form P11Ds, assistance with PAYE settlement agreements and preparation of ERS returns.
  • Ability to prepare ATED returns.
  • Dealing with technical queries as and when required

The requirements for this Mixed Tax Senior are:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ tax experience within a professional accountancy practice with CTA qualification or part-qualified (study support available to complete qualification); or QBE (minimum of 5 years).
  • Demonstrate a good level of understanding of own technical/ professional function
  • Experience of working on long term client relationships and of working on a fee basis with clients
  • Computer literate; in particular a good working knowledge of Excel
  • Desirable: Good working knowledge of Alphatax or CCH Personal Tax and CCH Documents Filing
