Our professional client is looking for an Account Assistant to join their team in Guildford. This role involves processing client-related transactions promptly and ensuring the company complies with regulations regarding the handling of client funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to billing staff with any questions about client accounts.
  • Promptly record incoming client payments and receipts.
  • Manage the printing, mailing, and depositing of cheques.
  • Handle necessary time write-offs.
  • Prepare payments using online banking tools for final approval.
  • Reconcile client bank accounts for accuracy.
  • Process transfers from client accounts.
  • Enter and track sales invoices.
  • Calculate interest on client balances.
  • Manage time-related transfers.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Must have 1-2 years’ experience of working in an accounts department
  • Fast learner who adapts easily.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible attitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective team player.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
