A specialist technology company in the Guildford, Surrey area is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a fixed term contract basis, to cover an existing member of staff who is going on maternity leave.The position reports directly to the Group Financial Controller, who you will work closely with while also supporting the wider department. - Maintaining accounting records for mutual companies to trial balance.
- Regional sales invoicing, collections, and UK supplier payments.
- Cash reporting and bank reconciliations for UK entities.
- Credit control and aiding account management team in debt collection.
- Maintaining exceptional and legal & professional reporting schedules.
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:
- Broad transactional skill set, with recent experience in a similarly varied finance role.
- Team player with a collaborative, ‘can do’ attitude and common sense who is happy to cover for other team members.
- Knowledge of multiple accounting packages, with intermediate/advanced Excel skills (lookups & pivot tables).
- Exposure to multi-currency invoices and payments (desirable).
- Part qualified ACCA or CIMA / AAT L4 / Degree in Accountancy & Finance (desirable).
- Available to start on 25th March 2025 and willing to commit for the duration of the contract.
