A growing business in central Guildford are looking for an Assistant Accountant for a 12 month maternity contract. This role is to support the finance team in the processing of the day to day finance function while supporting the wider business.
Main duties include :
- Ownership of maintaining bank reconciliations daily
- Balance sheet overall monthly process.
- Key Finance contact including:
- Month end journals
- Deferred revenue
- Accruals
- Bad debt provision
- ARR reporting
- Ensuring billing is correct for new customers and any changes to existing customers
- Support with the maintenance of the Accounts inbox to ensure customer queries are responded to and resolved on a timely basis
- Audit support and request completion
- Documentation of Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) for all owned processes
The ideal candidate will have :
- Experience with bank reconciling/matching
- Invoice and credit note generation experience
