Graduate Accountant/Accounts Assistant

Must be Car owner/driver due to location

Our SME accountancy firm who is growing from strength to strength are seeking a graduate accountant to join their team.  The ideal candidate will be keen to carve out a long term accounting career working for a caring and motivating employer.

Duties will include:

·         Owning purchase ledger duties

·         Owning sales ledger duties

·         Reconciling multiple bank accounts on Xero 

·         Revenue analysis

·         Payroll preparation 

·         Pension filing

·         Help in preparation of month end reporting

·         Assisting with pulling together adhoc reports as requested by clients. These could include budgets, forecasting, KPI reports, etc.

·         Direct communications with stakeholders

·         Direct and Indirect Tax Returns preparations

·         Annual Accounts preparation

·         Ad hoc work as needed

Skills/Experience

·         Minimum 2:1 Degree in Accounting and finance degree

·         Numerate 

·         Good attention to detail

·         IT literate & competent in the use of Microsoft Office – candidates will be required to complete an Excel test

·         Willingness to learn and become part of a team 

·         Self-motivated approach to work

·         Good multitasking and prioritising skills are key due to varying workload

·         Working well under pressure
