Trainee Accountant - About The Role

You will undertake bookkeeping to trial balance, prepare VAT returns and reconcile balance sheet accounts while studying towards your AAT qualification. In addition, you will prepare client payrolls, personal tax returns, assist on audits for the firm, and develop, document, and update new procedures and systems as required. You will also be supported to complete your AAT certification and studies.

The successful Trainee Accountant will have/be:

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade B or above)
  • Three A Levels, including Mathematics (Grade B or above achieved or predicted)
  • Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Initiative and drive
  • Organised with a "can do" attitude and not afraid to take on new tasks
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and able to work to deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
