Our client is seeking a Technical Support Officer / Administrator to join their Housing Maintenance Team on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months. Your responsibilities will include receiving work orders and scheduling work diaries for trades employees completing repairs and maintenance works for the residents. You'll enjoy liaising with trade staff and other repairs staff to make sure all appointment targets are met and liaise with residents about their scheduled repair and maintenance works. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a housing environment with a focus on delivering compliance related work.

  • Computer Literate, managing information from contractors and residents and working as part of a team delivering front line services AND Local Authority, Housing Associations or experience working for a contractor who delivers building or compliance related works.
  • Extensive experience working in a similar support or specialist system-based role or within a related technical field of support Proven ability to understand and comply with legislation and regulations in relation to property management Solid understanding of data analysis and experience of dealing with more complex cases and providing multi-disciplinary support

This is a hybrid working opportunity working 2/3 days per week from home - but flexibility is a must.

  • Extensive experience working in a similar support or specialist system-based role or within a related technical field of support
  • Proven ability to understand and comply with legislation and regulations in relation to property management
  • Solid understanding of data analysis and experience of dealing with more complex cases and providing multi-disciplinary support
  • Proven ability to analyse, problem-solve and respond to requests and understanding when to escalate
  • Proven ability to be accurate, detailed and professional in approach to work
  • Proven ability to deliver high standards
  • Strong ICT skills and proven ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Able to provide administrative support to the contract management of specialist contracts such as gas maintenance, electrical compliance programme, Fire Risk assessment and remedial works, Legionella, etc
  • Ability to ensure property asset management databases for the Council are legally compliant by promptly and accurately inputting data including health and safety certificates, information & actions relating to gas safety, electrics, legionella, decent homes improvements, asbestos & other property asset data information ensuring the council meets their legislative requirements.
  • Ability to communicate well across the service & teams & with other related service areas such as Housing, Legal, Finance
  • Strong organisational skills are required to ensure data is correctly accessed and managed and efficiently recorded and input into the appropriate system.
  • Able to compile technical property information through in depth investigative research for assisting in legal cases such as Disrepair claims, formal complaints, MP and Councillor enquiries. Working closely with relevant officers across Housing and Technical Services and the Customer Resolution Officer.
  • Working in a similar support or specialist system-based role or within a related technical field of support
  • Proven ability to understand and comply with legislation and regulations in relation to property management
  • Solid understanding of data analysis and experience of dealing with more complex cases and providing multi-disciplinary support
  • Ability to analyse, problem-solve and respond to requests and understanding when to escalate

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
