Reporting to the Managing Director
Our client is seeking a professional and customer-focused Installations Engineer to join their team. This role is predominantly front-line and customer-facing, requiring an individual who is professional, personable, and well-presented. The Installations Engineer will be responsible for preparing, delivering, installing, and presenting vending equipment while ensuring exceptional customer service.
The role includes conducting site surveys to ensure relevant services are available and planning delivery methods before installation. The engineer will prepare vending equipment to client specifications, deliver and install it at client premises. They will also provide training and demonstrations of the equipment as needed.
As part of the team, the engineer will collaborate with internal colleagues and clients to deliver efficient, solution-based service while adhering to contractual service level agreements, KPIs, and internal targets. Responsibilities include managing repair parts, maintaining customer service logs and internal records, ensuring tools and test equipment are properly calibrated, and meeting all Environmental, Health and Safety, and regulatory requirements.
The role involves physical tasks, such as lifting and carrying tools and equipment within health and safety guidelines, making adaptability and resourcefulness essential qualities.
Candidate Requirements
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record is essential.
- Experience in the vending industry.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment.
- A proven track record of troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
- Reliable, accountable, and self-directed, with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities.
